Debra Gindhart Dragoo is a native of Muncie. Having attended Burris Laboratory School, Ball State University and Indiana University Bloomington. Art installation, public artist, community curator, poet performance artist and Mayor’s arts advocate. Former visual arts educator and long-standing community arts program developer. Gindhart’s aerosol work has been shown locally, in Indianapolis, Bloomington IN, Nationally and sold Internationally.

She currently cohosts Quarterly Poetry Night at The Heorot. Muncie’s original Poetry Night began in 1983 and hosted monthly open mics in various venues in downtown Muncie and BSU Village.
